- Elaborate costumes overshadow cgi backgrounds eliminating the distracting cgi effects allowing everything to blend nicely.

- Things that might bother me: Mulan is a boring character. No background on her past and doesn't fit in with everyone else. Despite her loyalty to sleeping beauty's love that guy dies early on. Her loyalty to the sleeping beauty is explained but it doesn't warrant us watching since nothing interesting happens. The main characters can easily do without the other two. There's nothing about mulans character that brings conflict or new, nothing of her past explains her actions now except that she fought in battles we don't see that though.
- Snow and Charming true love is beaten to death. There can be less time devoted to them.
